PM Modi to Dedicate ‘Rashtra Prerna Sthal’ to the Nation in Lucknow; All Preparations Complete

Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the grand Rashtra Prerna Sthal to the nation in Lucknow, marking a significant milestone in commemorating India’s nationalist legacy. The iconic site has been developed as a tribute to the ideals and contributions of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The grand inauguration ceremony will also be attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

The inauguration, scheduled on the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is expected to witness the participation of over two lakh people, making it one of the largest public events in the state capital. Elaborate arrangements have been put in place for security, traffic diversion, parking and crowd management. The venue has been decorated with national symbols, floral arrangements and artistic installations reflecting India’s cultural and nationalist ethos.

The Lucknow Development Authority, along with the Tourism and Culture Department, has completed all preparations for the ceremony. The sprawling complex has been adorned with lotus-shaped floral rangolis, while the outer walls of the site feature national cultural motifs created by the Department of Culture. The unveiling of the statues will begin at 2 pm.

Upon arrival from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Prime Minister Modi will first unveil the statues of the three national icons and offer floral tributes. He will then inaugurate the museum dedicated to their lives and ideologies and review its exhibits. In the museum’s orientation room, audio-visual presentations highlighting inspiring episodes from the lives of these leaders will be screened. The Prime Minister will later address the gathering.

Located in Vasant Kunj, the Rashtra Prerna Sthal has been designed in the shape of a lotus. The complex features 65-foot-tall bronze statues of Dr. Mukherjee, Pandit Upadhyaya and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, crafted by renowned sculptor Ram Sutar and Mantu Ram Art Creations. The statues have been enhanced with façade lighting and projection mapping.

The museum within the complex showcases mural art depicting India’s freedom movement and the journey of nationalism. A statue of Bharat Mata, symbolising national pride, has been installed in the museum courtyard. Dedicated galleries vividly portray the lives, struggles and philosophies of the three leaders.

In addition to its commemorative aspects, the Rashtra Prerna Sthal includes modern facilities such as a synthetic track, meditation and vipassana centres, yoga facilities, a helipad, cafeteria, a 3,000-capacity amphitheatre, and a massive rally ground capable of accommodating nearly two lakh people.

Envisioned as both a historical landmark and a living centre of inspiration, the Rashtra Prerna Sthal aims to instil a strong sense of nationalism among future generations, making Lucknow the focal point of a historic national moment.
